About Miss Hasara
Born two days after the Summer Solstice, Laurel Elizabeth Hasara is an arthouse-horror screenwriter, poetic novelist and dark visual artist. Her debut feature film, Lovella, is based on an interracial college romance fueled by dark experimentation and obsession, while her debut novella,The Nobodies: An Unusual Tale of Society’s Least Desirable released in 2021. With a Bachelor’s of Arts in English Literature acquired at The University of Maryland, her current academic focus is concentrated in the study of esoteric Catholic theology. She is currently directing her first film, a short entitled The Dark Night of Her Soul, a Gothic retelling of St. John of the Cross’s spiritual crisis. Miss Hasara’s overarching artistic goal is to make her life into a living art piece through various literary and visual forms; exquisite nightmares that claw into your subconscious.
